CP Mandarin Immersion teachers together with Mandarin Preschool and Kuai Le teachers led by our Magnet Program Director, Dr. Irv Phillips and CP Principal, Diana Hallock, participated in the intensive professional development on October 27 to 29.  Dr. Stellar Kwoh and Dr. Tracy Wang from NCCLP (National Center for K-16 Chinese Language Pedagogy from UC Berkeley) came to CP to train our teachers in effective instruction and curriculum design. The training was followed by a guided tour to NCCLP center and Starr East Asian Library located in UC Berkeley campus.

October professional development for Mandarin Immersion teachers will be followed by ongoing classroom visitations and individual teacher conferences with Dr. Wang throughout the school year. CP would like to thank NCCLP for the guidance and look forward to continue partnership with NCCLP.
